About Bard Spiral
If a picture says a thousand words, a doodle ought to be worth at least 100 I’ve got some things to say. Some of these things are funny. Much of them have to do with the absurdity of life around us in the planetarium community, so I’m starting there. You people do some crazy things and call them normal. I hope to shine a light on some of these.
About the artistChuck Rau has been a space enthusiast and planetarium fan-boy for many years. With over 20 years of experience in and around the planetarium community, Chuck has performed and created countless laser light shows, presented night sky star-talks, fought with various technologies such as the ever popular slide projector, and now sells the finest planetarium equipment available. He’s a dome dweller and a troglodyte at heart.
When is the next one coming out?I'm just getting started. I have got some great ideas that will be on here soon, so keep looking and be sure to check out the next issue of The Planetarian by IPS, and Seiler Instrument’s Projections Newsletter.
I'm not always funnyI try to be clever or witty, but don’t set out to make everyone laugh. It’s impossible. Something might resonate with you that doesn’t with another person, and that's life. Also, I’ve known mossy stumps with more personality than some people. If anything on this site or in my humor offends you…it's ok...relax, you aren’t the center of the universe. Sometimes humor can hit a little close to home. If this is the case, then perhaps it is time to evaluate where you live. There are far more vile things on the interwebs that you could have found, and far more serious atrocities that take place on this planet, so grow a thicker skin and go see some of that filth before you get all “butt hurt” over jokes about Uranus.
